In the not too distant past here in the USA, sub-compacts did not make a good initial impression. However, paying so little for a new car somehow made up for the ill-fitting, hard and poorly matched interior plastics, minimal standard equipment levels and many times, cutesy but clumsy exterior design.

The Ford Fiesta puts the sub-compact tatty build quality reputation from the past firmly to rest.
