Ed Jerger of Sun City Hilton Head has been participating in the Beaufort County Games for nine years. He started with race walking. He competed in the 2003 National Senior games in Norfolk, Va., in race walking and brought home two fifth place ribbons. His doctor had some tough news when Jerger arrived home. "No more race walking for those stress-fractured legs."
